Rice Khichdi Recipe

Preparation for Rice Khichdi Recipe

  • Rice : 1 cup
  • Green moong dal : 1/2 cup
  • chopped carrot : 1/2 cup
  • asafoetida : 1 pinch
  • turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
  • coriander powder : 1/2 tsp
  • ghee: 2 tsp
  • water : 3 cup
  • salt to taste
  • chopped coriander leaves : 1 tsp
  • How to Make Rice Khichdi

    Wash the rice and dal and soak in water for 15 minutes.

    Heat ghee in a pan. Add the cumin seeds and allow them to crackle.

    Add asafoeitda, turmeric powder, coriander powder and fry for 30 seconds.

    Now add the rice, dal, water and salt. Cover the pan and let it cook until the rice and dal is cooked.

    Rice khichdi is ready.

    Garnish with coriander leaves and ghee and serve it hot.
